there was only one ... there was only one so I don't know where you get "movies" from. and I did not say there was NO noise as it was shot at 1600ISO I just said it was better then the 60D at 1600ISO. So let me be honest with you Maybe you should take time time to properly read before you? reply to something you have made a obvious mistake about. there is ZERO lag ... there is ZERO lag in using the LCD, its not like live view on a? SLR where you will have lag from the mirror being up, this is flawless.
canon is overrated ... canon is overrated that is the only reason people buy them, think about it,
Sony 60fps at 1920x1080 = Yes
Canon 60fps at 1920x1080 = No
Sony- Full time Continuous AF while video recording = YES
Canon -Full time Continuous AF while video recording = NO
Canon users will argue that the? image quality is better but I have a 60D and the SOny A65, I shot a short film at 1600ISO with both cameras and the quality of the A65 was better.
Also you have full time live view if you chose to use it.
i mean when ... i mean when comparing to a? DSLR.
when mentioning the ... when mentioning the size, the image quality, the power consumption, the shutter delay, the focus speed, the noise control, and etc, I dont find any improvement in the? SLT camera. The only benefit I think is no shake coming from reflector when the shutter pressed.
The sluggishness of ... The sluggishness of controls, mirror and EVF-to-monitor-and-back has been fixed by the? way since firmware 1.05.

I would suggest the ... I would suggest the A77 only because I have it and love it. Great quality for a kit lense. The 24 mp is? also great for portrait too, as the images holds alot of good detail(also good for cropping too). the 12 fps is also useful for action shots. the kit lense is really great(16-50mm) i use it for portraits when im too lazy to switch to my 50mm.
Ultimately, I think it comes down to your budget, and what your willing to spend.

it's not like the ... it's not like the camera doesn't know it looses some light, of course the metering is adjusted to the transluscent mirror, and what they do is to have the sensor be a little bit more sensitive, with of course does not help image quality. it IS a minor problem though, in my opinion, since modern sensors are so good, (certainly good enough) and sony are current market leaders in that field. In the? end of the day, the sensor WOULD perform slightly better in a system with a moving mirror..
